Lighting

How to adjust the lighting

Inside Lights

The lights can be set to any colour you wish. They can be operated from the black control panels – one at the front of the pod and one next to the bed. They can also be controlled on the tablet on the wall by selecting categories and then shading or by voice control by always start by saying “OK GOOGLE”
There are a number of pre-set scenes which are activated by tapping the centre of the switch; each tap will move to the next pre-set scene.
A double tap will shut off the lights. You can also control the lights at the tablet on the wall by selecting categories and then lights you can adjust brightness and change colours by selecting more in the bottom right.
And of course you can use the voice control by saying OK GOOGLE. For example ok google change the living room lights to purple or ok google turn all the lights off. Just experiment and see what can be done.

Outside Lights

The outside lights have a pre-set programme and will come on automatically. You can ask google at anytime to turn them on or off or change colour.

Blinds

How to control the blinds

The blinds can be operated from the black control panels one at the front of the pod and one next to the bed. They can also be controlled on the tablet on the wall by selecting categories and then shading or by voice control, always start by saying “
The front blinds can be operated from the control panel near the TV. A tap on the top left moves the blinds up and a tap on the bottom left moves the blinds down. Tapping the switch again at any point will stop the blinds or allow you to partially open them or tilt them. See the switch quick guide on the screen.

• If the blinds get out of synch or don’t fully lower , please lower all blinds by asking google”ok google close all window blinds” wait 10 or 15 seconds or so to let the programme catch up! (we all need to catch up with ourselves sometimes don’t we!) and then asking google “ok google open all window blinds”. The blinds should all now be in the fully open position.

• If you want to use the tilt setting use the buttons on the switch panel on the wall. When the blinds are down just tap up until the blind flicks open and then again to stop it tilting.

Heating

How to control the heating

The main heating system is by infra red electric radiators mounted on the ceiling and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. For your comfort the heating is pre programmed and controlled by thermostats in the smart switches. The heating can be adjusted at the tablet on the wall to the level you prefer. To do this click on categories and then select climate then select the room for e.g. living area. You can adjust the temperature by sliding the thermostat in the centre of the screen.Click the cross at the top left when you have finished. There is also a feature electric fire below the Tv. This can be used to increase the temperature if you need a quick boost. There is a handset to adjust the temperature and control the flame effect and backlit LED lights- these can be switched on with no heat for a nice cosy effect.

TV / Music

TV

The most convenient way to control the TV is by the handset. On the TV you will find Netflix, Amazon Prime and a wide range of non terrestrial stations. You will also find the Welcome Screen when you arrive. This has a selection of slides and information which you can scroll through using the arrow keys on the handset. To leave the Welcome Screen click the home button. To return to the Welcome Screen at any time press home, select the blue web browser icon and then select your pod name.

Music

You can access music on the tablet near the bed.

Select categories and then audio then Spotify.

You can control the volume via the tablet or with the smart switches by the door or bed. A single tap on the top right to turn up and a single tap to bottom right to turn down. Double tap top right to change channel or track and double tap bottom right to switch off.

It’s easy to find the right music or podcast for every moment – there are millions of tracks and episodes on Spotify. The right music or podcast is always at your fingertips. Choose what you want to listen to, or let Spotify surprise you.

Coffee

Combi Oven

How to use the Combi Oven

To cook with MICROWAVE POWER ALONE press the power/level button a number of times to select a power cooking level. Then use the menu/time dial to set a desired cooking time-the longest time is 95 minutes. Press start/quick start button To GRILL press grill/combination button once Then use the menu/time dial to set a desired cooking time-the longest time is 95minutes Press start/quick start button To COOK WITH CONVECTION ONLY press convection button to exceed 180 degrees Rotate menu /time dial for coking time required Press start/quick start button.

Dishwasher

How to use the dishwasher

The dishwasher is located below the combi oven. Dishwasher tablets are stored in the cupboard below the breakfast bar.

Hob

How to use the Hob

The hob is a two zone induction hob. It is operated by touch controls Suitable induction cookware can be found in the left hand cupboard below the sink. The Tefal Ingenio cookware system uses a single removable handle for all the pans. Enabling pans and pots to be stored easily. Further information can be found in the manual located in the cupboard under the breakfast bar.

Fire Pit

How to use the Fire Pit

The Solo fire pits are easily lit. You will find logs, kindling and firelighters in the storage box below the door entry keypad. Matches are located in the cupboard under the breakfast bar. The other storage box has seat cushions and cosy thermal throws for your comfort. Enjoy the evening with just a full moon and beautiful stars in the sky and a cosy fire pit toasting the complimentary marshmallows which you will find in your welcome hamper.

Waste Disposal

How to dispose of waste

In the cupboard under the breakfast bar you will find extra bin liners for the kitchen waste bin. You will find a dustbin outside your pod. Please put your bagged rubbish in there and bottles and clean cans in the box to the side. Rubbish is collected on Mondays. We will periodically check and empty the dustbins over the week as required. For guests with pets: Please clean up after your pet using the the poo bags provided. Thank you and have lovely stay

There is a mains operated smoke detector installed in the living area. You will also see a small green light that is the emergency lighting should we be unfortunate enough to have a power cut. On the wall next to mounted electric fire is a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher.

Checkout Procedure

We kindly ask guests to vacate by 10 am on the day of departure. This allows us time to get the Pod ready for our next guests. We would also very much appreciate you leaving the Pod as you found it. We hope you enjoyed your stay at Raven’s Gully and we hope to see you again soon. Don’t worry about locking up just close the door too as you leave. The new key code will activate shortly after you leave for our incoming guests. Reviews are important to us and we would be grateful if you would leave a review when you have time.
